Mountain Views, Sweet Touches, and Joyful Memories: Denise and Shane’s Big Day

Denise and Shane’s elegant wedding at the Delta Marriott Hotel Burnaby was a beautiful celebration with personalized touches that made the day uniquely theirs. From stunning scenery to heartfelt traditions, here’s a look at their unforgettable wedding day.

A Venue with Views and Versatility

The Delta Marriott Hotel Burnaby is a fantastic venue offering a grand ballroom with sweeping mountain views that set the stage for both the ceremony and reception. The hotel grounds were perfect for photos, from the lush outdoor areas to the elegantly designed interiors, creating a rich backdrop for memories that will last a lifetime.

The bride walked down the aisle to a beautiful rendition of “Kiss Me,” adding a soft, romantic touch to the ceremony. A chuppah adorned the altar, honouring the couple's Jewish heritage, and the traditional glass-breaking ceremony added a meaningful moment to their vows. These thoughtful inclusions added depth and significance to the day.

A Memorable Cocktail Hour

While Denise and Shane took some time to capture additional photos around the city, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail hour with a twist! With the hotel’s casino nearby, guests were entertained in style, making for a fun and interactive hour while awaiting the newlyweds’ return.

Elegant Details and Delicious Dining

At the reception, guests were welcomed with a sweet treat—a lemon square at each place setting, which added a bright, thoughtful touch to their tablescape. Their colour scheme of white, green, and gold brought timeless elegance, with florals in neutral tones and lush greenery that perfectly complemented the natural aesthetic. Their minimalist cake was a showstopper, decorated with greenery and tasteful geometric accents.

The couple chose a plated dinner paired with wine service, which gave the meal a luxurious feel. This thoughtful decision made the dinner experience more intimate and relaxed, as guests enjoyed an attentive wine service rather than a self-serve option.

A Unique Approach to Seating and Attendants

In a departure from tradition, Denise and Shane opted for table assignments without specific seating. This choice added a relaxed, social element to the evening, allowing guests to mingle freely and make new connections. Also breaking with tradition, Shane’s best man was his best friend, who happened to be a woman. Having a “Best Person” was a refreshing and personal choice, highlighting the value of friendship in all its forms.

Ending the Night with Fun and Memories

No wedding is complete without a bit of fun, and Denise and Shane made sure their guests had an unforgettable time! They hired Dang Good Booths, a beloved photobooth company in Vancouver’s wedding scene, to bring extra entertainment to the night.

The celebration wrapped up with everyone dancing the night away, creating a joyful, carefree atmosphere that was the perfect conclusion to Denise and Shane’s dream wedding day.

From the stunning venue to the thoughtful touches and joyful traditions, this wedding was a perfect example of what we aim to achieve at The Bridal Bar: a unique, meaningful, and unforgettable day for every couple. We’re so grateful to have been part of Denise and Shane’s journey and can’t wait to make more dreams come true!
